***NEWS LETTER***
*INTECH Marine is pleased to announce our latest PO from Marine Hydrolics Inc. to provide 2 LDC’s, Model 127B to the USNS Grumman.
INTECH MARINE’s engineering and panel building shop worked closely together to produce the Model 127B. With our engineering department working with ABS and the panel building shop paying close attention to detail, all drawings, tech manuals and the LDC its self were ABS approved and ready to install on the *USNS Grumman without delay.
The Model 127B LDC (Local Diesel Control) is specifically designed to be a point for point replacement for the National Elektro DSSA4PB. To accomplish this, all terminations are located at the original controller’s locations. Because of this feature, installation of a replacement unit can be easily handled.
At the heart of the LDC Model 127B is an Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation PLC contained within a NEMA-12 enclosure. In the unlikely event of a PLC failure, the controller will continue to function in the “Bypass” mode using the latest TRB Allen Bradley series relays. In the Bypass mode monitoring will be limited but continue to meet ABS requirements. Replacement of a defective I/O module or even the entire PLC requires no programming knowledge and no form of computer to download application software.
The user friendly front panel lay out is simplified by combining multiple functions into operator controls. Some controls have lockable safety features to prevent inadvertent rotation or changing modes of operation while highly visible color coded LED’s allow for long life and easy to see from many angles.
To allow for engine variations, numerous variables can be set within the PLC. These include: start time, dwell time, number of attempts, lube oil pressure delay time and others. All variables can be changed without the use of any computer by using the built in Key pad on the front of the Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation PLC and each variable retains its value until changed by the user.
From all of us at INTECH MARINE SERVICES.

*A previous news letter implied a PO from Military Sealift Command and erroneously referred to the entire oiler fleet. Our apology for the miscommunication between our web designer and INTECH Marine Servies.
